Founding Members
The 11 Founding Members comprise the VAPA Board of Directors, are in permanent residence at VAPA, and pay below market-rate rent for their space. The Founding Members are also contributing financially as well as donating ‘sweat equity’ and uncompensated labor – for example, organizing, project management, grant writing, fundraising and infrastructure and capacity building – to ensure the success of the VAPA Center.
Resident Members
Resident Members are Artists and Makers who are currently renting studio, rehearsal, and performance space in the VAPA facility for long-term projects. Resident Members pay below market-rate rent for their space. Some Residents also serve as volunteers, help with events and planning, and volunteer to serve on VAPA Committees. Resident Members are vital to the success of the VAPA Center.
Associate Members
Associate Members are Supporters of VAPA who are not in residence, but donate financially to ensure the success of the VAPA Center. Associate Members will receive our periodic emails and newsletters, as well as discounts on classes and shows, complimentary tickets and perks, and other exciting benefits to be announced. Associate Members can also rent wall space, as well as rehearsal and performance space on a periodic basic as availability permits. They can reserve gallery space and studio space for special one-time use or projects.
